In June, Marco and Chantal were married in a fun and also emotional wedding which they shared with their family, friends, neighbours and the schoolchildren from where Chantal is a teacher.

For their special day, all they wanted was for a relaxed atmosphere in which everyone who shared in the day could be themselves and do what suited them the best. The day was a great success and worked out even better than they had planned.
Every detail of their wedding was well thought out and each event was planned to personally involve all of those who are important to them.
Most of their inspiration came from 'Pinterest' and their research on this site helped a lot with their planning.
Chantal started the day with getting ready in the beautiful Pelsertoren in Zwolle.
The breathtaking wedding gown Chantal wore came from The New Bride in Barneveld.
Marco got ready at their home with his family present to help him with the preparations.
They first had a formal Wedding Ceremony at the picturesque Onder Ons in Dalfsen and then a church blessing at the Protestante Kerk, also in Dalfsen.
I asked Marco & Chantal about what stood out most for them during their wedding day and even though they struggled to choose, this is what they said:
Eigenlijk was de hele dag helemaal geweldig! Van de voorbereidingen tot het elkaar voor het eerst zien. Van samen met vrienden en familie, elkaar het officiële ja-woord geven, samen eten, stukjes kijken, een bomvolle mooie kerkdienst tot de momentjes even kort samen in de auto. Met als mooie afsluiter van de dag een geweldig feest!
Marco & Chantal saw each other for the first time at the top of the tower of De Pelsertoren, where they first exchanged personal letters which they wrote to each other before meeting for the start of their big day.
I asked Marco & Chantal what they were most nervous/anxious about, and they told me that it was about the rings... Something went wrong which meant that they didn't have Marco's ring (the way they wanted it) on time, but... they were able to let this go and focus on what was really important on the day :)
Marco & Chantal added an awesome little touch to their wedding... they had a table with sunglasses for all their guests, as they arrived. They saw it as a modern twist to 'Wedding Corsages'. The guests looked great wearing their sunglasses during the festivities of the day and this made Marco and Chantal very happy :)

Marco & Chantal's advice to other couples planning their wedding is this:
Geniet!! En probeer alles bewust mee te maken die dag.
Je kunt alles heel goed proberen voor te bereiden, maar uiteindelijk gaat het erom dat je die dag samen met alle mensen die je lief vindt de liefde viert😊
(Enjoy!! And try fully experience the day.
You can try to prepare it all the best you can... but in the end it's all about celebrating love on the day with the one's you love.)
Marco & Chantal, thank you for sharing your story and your day with us. The real adventure together starts now :) We wish you all the love and happiness in the world!
